Welcome to the Light My Fire of NC Candle Company website.

We want to thank you for taking the time to view our creations. We’d like to tell you a little bit about our company and how we got it started. 

Our company is family owned and operated. It was started in August 2001. The name of our business is a direct spinoff of the famous song “Light My Fire” by Jim Morrison and The Doors. We get many compliments from those of you who are around our age from the generation of “old” rockers!  ☺

We first began to make candles after seeing them being sold in the flea markets at the beach while we were on vacation. We purchased some of the ingredients from one of the vendors and proceeded to experiment to see if we were capable of such an endeavor. 

We made a few candles and sold them and decided to search out suppliers of the gel, bowls, imbeds, and various other supplies that we would need. 

We started out making them in our kitchen at home. After a few months of making them in our kitchen, we decided that we needed to expand into a larger facility. 

We moved to the building that we are in now. We have numerous racks in our shop display area and manufacture the candles in the back of the building.  

We market our candles thru this website, at NASCAR races, street festivals and various shows at different malls in the area. But our biggest advertiser is you, our customer!    Because of the NASCAR races, our candles are spread out all over the United States and Canada. We frequently receive calls requesting us to ship candles to many places all over North America!  We are very proud of the products that we make. We are always looking for new ways and new ideas to keep our product “up to date”. We welcome any comments or suggestions that you may have. It is you, the customer that is what keeps us doing what we do best.  Our candles make wonderful gifts for any occasion! We hope that you will consider our candles for that special gift for those special people in your life!  We are often asked to do "special" candles for people using photographs and/or their ideas for those candles. We do these types of candles and we refer to them as "portrait" candles. We do our best to create the candle using a copy of your photograph and your ideas and hopefully the end result is exactly what you had in mind!
